Meat Walay Mattar



 Recipe Ingredients

  • Beef mince                 ½ kg
  • Cumin seeds              1 tsp
  • Onion chopped        1
  • Ginger garlic paste  2 tbsp
  • Turmeric                    1 tsp
  • Cinnamon powder  ½ tsp
  • Nutmeg mace powder      ½ tsp
  • All spice powder      1 tsp
  • Coriander powder   1 tbsp
  • Chili powder              1 tsp
  • Crushed red pepper          1 tsp
  • Oil                                ¼ cup
  • Boiled tomatoes       3
  • Water                          ½ cup
  • Yogurt                         125 gm
  • Boiled peas                1 cup
  • Salt                               to taste
  • Coriander leaves      2 tbsp
  • Dry fenugreek leaves        1 tsp               

Recipe Method

  1. Heat ¼ cup oil in a pan, add 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste and ½ kg mince. Fry well till water dries.
  2. Now add 1 chopped onion, 125 gm yogurt, 1 tsp whole cumin seeds, 1 tsp turmeric, ½ tsp cinnamon powder, ½ sp nutmeg mace powder, 1 tsp allspice powder, 1 tbsp coriander powder, 1 tsp chili powder, 1 tsp crushed red pepper, ¼ cup oil, 3 boiled chopped tomatoes, salt to taste, 1 tsp dry fenugreek leaves and ½ cup water.
  3. Cover and cook for 8 – 10 minutes.
  4. Now remove the lid, add 1 cup boiled peas, 2 tbsp coriander leaves and salt to taste.
  5. Fry well till water dries. Dish it out and serve.
